Dhruva Bhagat
Mr. Dhruva Bhagat has been actively engaged in India’s antipiracy landscape since 2008, steadily shaping his career through hands-on enforcement, litigation, and strategic advisory. He began his professional journey while interning with reputed lawyers and law firms such as Ramesh Gupta & Associates, Mukta Gupta (Standing Counsel, Criminal – Govt. of NCT Delhi), and Anand & Anand. He further expanded his experience as an Associate at Akash Chittranshi & Associates before moving into independent practice.
Over the years, Mr. Bhagat has appeared before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court and Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, particularly during his association with Amarjit & Associates under Mr. Amarjit Singh, Advocate. He has independently handled a wide range of Trademark, Copyright, Design, and Patent litigations, briefing leading Senior Advocates and assisting courts in securing Ad-Interim, final, and Anton Piller orders across multiple jurisdictions. His extensive involvement in antipiracy enforcement has enabled him to conduct numerous search-and-seizure operations nationwide, often against unidentified or evasive infringers operating through online and offline channels.
His practice extends beyond intellectual property. Mr. Bhagat has been appointed Amicus Curiae in matters relating to multiple serious offences. He has represented NBFCs and various institutions in civil recovery disputes, and proceedings before the Debt Recovery Tribunal and its appellate forums. He is empanelled with the North Municipal Corporation of Delhi, State Bank of India, and BSES.
With over 15 years at the Bar, Mr. Bhagat is actively engaged in criminal, civil, administrative, and cyber-law matters, including cyber fraud, hacking, and online counterfeiting cases. He currently serves as a Legal Consultant to the Delhi Police for the Lajpat Nagar subdivision, overseeing advisory work for three police stations, and has recently been inducted into the prestigious panels of the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee (DHCLSC – Criminal Panel-I) and the Union of India (Delhi High Court).
